Does Penny work with ClassDojo?
It depends how your ClassDojo account is set up, and either way there's a route that works.
ClassDojo sends parents either email notifications or app push notifications, not both, depending on whether you use the app or the website. If you get ClassDojo by email, forward it to Penny like any other school message. If you're on the app and only get push alerts, open ClassDojo, read the update, and tell Penny the gist by text or voice note. Both routes take a few seconds.
| You use the ClassDojo website | You get email, forward it to Penny directly |

| You use the ClassDojo app | You get push notifications, open the app then voice note or type the gist to Penny |
1. Email or push, not both
ClassDojo's notification setup depends on how you access it. Parents who download the app get push notifications on their phone. Parents who only use the ClassDojo website instead get email notifications. It's one or the other, which matters because it changes how you'd get an update to Penny.
2. If you get ClassDojo by email
Forward the email to Penny the same way you would any other school message. She reads it, pulls out anything you need to act on, and adds it to your family's daily briefing.
3. If you use the app
Push notifications don't give Penny anything to read directly. Open the ClassDojo app, see what the update says, then tell Penny in your own words, typed or as a quick voice note. This takes about as long as reading the notification did in the first place. See can you just voice note Penny for how that works day to day.
4. Why there's no direct connection
Penny doesn't connect to ClassDojo, or to any school platform, as a system integration. She works from what you choose to forward or tell her, which means she works the same way regardless of which app, platform, or notification setting your school and class happen to use.
Whichever way ClassDojo reaches you, Penny can work with it. Free for the first 30 days, both parents included.
